Listening in on one the spotters talking to a couple folks, the teams were furious at the batch delivered . 20+ tire failures by Sat afternoon.

On the return we made a detour to Ommegang Brewery for a late lunch, only to find 1/2 their staff went back to college. Which still didn’t explain why they were only serving food at a 1/4 of the tables. The beer was great, but a shitshow given they prepared the overflow lot.

the vintage is supposed to be nuts, which from what one local was saying probably why turnout was soo low for the Blancpain Gt race.

Vintage weekend (this coming weekend) is great. Lot s of rally/tours on Friday morning, followed by parade laps of the old Grand Prix circuit through town. The featured groups also get a few laps of WGI, this year it’s Triumph . After that they shut down the street and bring down the vintage race cars. (Along with bands and beverages)
And then you get two days of the Vintage Grand Prix. The paddocks are open to all, and I can’t say enough about the hospitality of the people of the town and all of the participants. As you can tell, I highly recommend it.
